The 40th winner of the ongoing Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation Catch the Ace raffle has been selected.
According to social media posts from the foundation, Darren Webb’s two of clubs was selected as this week’s winning card, netting him $27,923 from the fundraising draw.
The weekly raffle has helped dozens of people across the Ottawa Valley secure big paydays, with proceeds going towards the purchase of new equipment for the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
Staff members with the foundation announced last week that the initiative has most recently funded a patient wandering system to help staff members quickly locate patients for check-ins and emergency situations.
In the past, it’s also helped to pay for new ultrasound equipment, surgical chairs, IV pumps and more.
According to PRH Foundation staff members, the Ace of Spades jackpot is still available for next week, with an estimated payout of $675,000.
