The kick-off for the third annual Emergency and Protective Services United fundraising event is scheduled for next week.
Alysia Beevis, one of the people organizing the event, says the upcoming “Singo Bingo” fundraiser should be familiar to anyone who’s played a traditional bingo game.
Beevis says the event is a fun time, with no singing required – although she says participants often sing along anyway.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along friends and relatives for the event. Participation costs $15 per person, with all proceeds being split between three charities: the Pembroke and Area Special Olympics, St. Joseph’s Food Bank and the Petawawa Pantry Food Bank.
The event is being by Fresco’s Tap and Grill and CCDJ Events and Entertainment at 660 Pembroke Street East starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26th. Anyone interested in attending is asked to contact Fresco’s in advance by calling 613-732-9725 to reserve a table.
Emergency and Protective Services United will also be holding another fundraising event in the fall with the Petawawa Fire Department. That will be held at the Petawawa Civic Centre on September 12th.
