We are about to get another blast of winter weather. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Ottawa Valley. The weather agency says much colder arctic air will begin to flood in tonight, and snow is expected to rapidly develop with a snowfall of 5 to 10 centimetres expected by tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. A few localities could get 10 to 15 centimetres of snow. Local residents can also expect a return to winter driving conditions. Officials warn there will be reduced visibility tonight with blowing and drifting snow from brisk westerly winds. There is also the risk of freezing rain this evening. The snow is expected to end in the morning tomorrow.
