Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police say a Pembroke resident is facing multiple charges following a bail violation investigation that began earlier this year.
Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment’s Offender Management Apprehension Program, assisted by frontline officers and a canine unit, executed an arrest warrant at a residence in Pembroke on March 4.
Police say a 45-year-old Pembroke resident was taken into custody without incident and charged with 13 counts of failing to comply with a release order and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order under the Criminal Code.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and remains in custody pending their next appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 19.
Police say the Offender Management Apprehension Program targets repeat offenders considered a risk to community safety and works to deter further criminal activity.
