For the fifth year in a row, a Pembroke resident will be taking part in the Ottawa Marathon to raise money for the Robbie Dean Centre.
Steve Wood is preparing for his upcoming fifth annual Taylor Wood Memorial Run, honouring his late daughter.
Wood says he’s heard from other people who have experienced similar circumstances to his daughter in the years since he began doing the Memorial Run, thanking him for doing what he does.
Wood has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Robbie Dean Centre over the years, and his goal is to continue that trend this spring.
Anyone interested in donating can find the run’s fundraising page on the Canada Helps website. Wood also encourages people to share information about the run and the Robbie Dean Centre on social media.
