The Ottawa Valley’s own Gillan Rutz is hosting a local celebration for St. Patrick's Day at Festival Hall.
A longtime staple of the Ottawa Valley music scene is set to perform in a few weeks to mark St. Patrick’s Day.
Gillan Rutz, a local performer who has been working in the region since the 1970s, will be hosting “A Valley St. Patrick Celebration” at Festival Hall on March 1st.
The Festival Hall website describes the event as “an unforgettable afternoon of lively music, storytelling, and community spirit.”
In an interview, Rutz explained that part of the motivation for creating the event is to help bring back the spirit of times past in Pembroke, in the wake of several music venues in town closing in recent years.
In addition to Rutz, multiple other performers will be taking the stage:
Tickets are $37 each (tax included) and are available through the Festival Hall box office. The show starts at at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.
