The Ontario Provincial Police have arrested a Petawawa man and seized a prohibited firearms magazine following a search warrant executed on Saturday, Feb. 7.
At around 11 a.m., members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, with assistance from the East Region Emergency Response Team, searched a residence on Paardeburg Boulevard.
Mohid Kashif, 22, faces a Criminal Code charge of possession of a prohibited device or ammunition for a dangerous purpose. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Pembroke’s Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 8. The investigation is ongoing under the North East and East Region OPP Crime Units.
