An annual Pembroke tradition that started in 2021 is set to return to the downtown area next weekend.
The 2026 Downtown Pembroke Soup Fest is set to run this year on Saturday, February 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 18 Pembroke Street West.
The annual event sees an array of local restaurants prepare soups for participants to sample and vote for their favourite.
The restaurant that receives the most votes wins the “Golden Ladle” trophy.
The following eateries are taking part this year:
- Harvest Moon Kitchen
- His & Hers
- Law & Orders
- Little Things Eatery
- Nomada
- SOPA
- Thai Gardens
- The Bonanza Restaurant
- The Butcher’s Wife
- The Nook
The first 150 general admission tickets will cost attendees $15 each, while the first 150 VIP tickets – which include a soup bowl from local craft shop Bumpy Road Studio – will cost $20.
Once those first tickets are sold out, early bird pricing will no longer be available, meaning general admission tickets will cost $20 and VIP tickets will cost $25. Tickets are available here.
Anyone interested is urged to come to the event hungry and prepared to support local restaurants and crown 2026’s Soup Fest champion.
