The City of Pembroke’s annual SnoSpree winter festival is set to return next month, offering a week of free and low-cost activities across the city.
The Parks and Recreation Department says the festival will run from Feb. 9 to 16, 2026, featuring a mix of indoor and outdoor events for residents of all ages. Activities include skating, swimming, crafts, games, movies, markets and live entertainment.
Highlights include free public skating at the Pembroke Memorial Centre, an outdoor skate party at Rotary Park, free open swims at the Pembroke Kinsmen Pool and learn-to-curl sessions with the local curling club.
Family Day celebrations on Feb. 16 at the Memorial Centre will include free skating, hot dogs, inflatables, magic shows, face painting, ice carving and children’s activities.
Other events include a family movie afternoon at Festival Hall, a sliding party at Mother Hill, a winter craft night, music trivia at a local restaurant and the third annual SnoSpree Vendor Market, which will feature more than 50 vendors and a food drive in support of St. Joseph’s Food Bank.
The city is also hosting week-long contests, including a snow sculpture competition and a photo contest for SnoSpree participants, with prizes that include downtown Pembroke gift vouchers. Free snowshoe rentals will be available through the Parks and Recreation Office.
A full schedule and registration details are available on the city’s website.
