A section of Maple Avenue in Pembroke will be closed to traffic during the day Wednesday to allow for utility work.
The City of Pembroke says Maple Avenue will be closed between Pembroke Street East and Supple Street from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Jan. 21 while crews carry out pole replacement work. The road will reopen to traffic outside of those hours.
Local traffic and emergency vehicles will be permitted through the closure, but drivers are being advised to expect delays and use alternate routes where possible.
City officials are also reminding motorists to follow posted construction signage.
