Environment Canada and local police are still suggesting that people limit unnecessary travel Monday morning even as the worst of last night’s freezing rain has passed.
The weather agency says their orange-level weather warning is still in effect today, even as this morning’s build-up of ice on local roads and walkways fell short of their predicted 15 to 20 millimetres for a good chunk of the Ottawa Valley
Residents can expect patchy freezing rain or drizzle this morning before changing to flurries this afternoon.
