The Township of Madawaska Valley is mourning the loss of Councillor Ernie Peplinskie, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 27.
Peplinskie had recently returned to council in April, filling a seat left vacant by Joseph Olsheskie’s resignation. He previously served from 2014 to 2022 and was also a councillor in Radcliffe Township before amalgamation.
Colleagues remember him for his dedication, knowledge, and community spirit, as well as his love of music. The township extended condolences to his wife, children, grandchild, and extended family.
