All locations of Scott’s Shoe Store have been mobilized for operation snowsuit to act as drop-off points; generous donors can bring snowsuits to the locations in either Renfrew, Pembroke or Arnprior to be later distributed to families in need through the Renfrew County Community Poverty Action Network (CPAN).
Amidst tough times and preparing to brace for winter’s worst, owner and operator Nathan Scott is extending the donation period into mid-December.
Scott said Renfrew and area is an extremely generous community which always makes an appearance during times of need.
He is extending the donation period because he said as we roll into the colder months families will be thinking of snowsuits more and more and Scott wants to get ahead of the game.
Scott said they’ve already seen success with this year’s Operation Snowsuit, but he wants to take it to the next level.
For now, Scott’s Shoe Store locations will be accepting donations until Dec. 15, but owner Scott said the date might change.
