Luke Cyr is a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces and a mental health advocate and founder of The Luke Cyr Foundation.
Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, he enlisted at 18 and completed four operational tours—one in Bosnia and three in Afghanistan. After sustaining both physical and psychological injuries, he was medically retired and faced major mental health challenges. Luke explains in his own words how the Foundation came to be:

The Foundation will hold a gala where the final tally of funds will be donated to The Robbie Dean Centre as well as the Caddy School for Soldiers. The celebration will be held of October 30th which is a very fitting date for Luke:
