The Algonquin Trail Run – Petawawa returns for its fourth year, taking place on the scenic Algonquin Trail through the heart of Petawawa, in partnership with the Petawawa Ramble. Organized by the Coureurs de Bois Running Club, the event is proudly sponsored by Dog House Brewery and Hyska’s Independent Grocers. Runners can choose between a 3.2 km Munchkin Run, a 5.4 km course, or a 10 km trail run.
Chip timing will be used for all events. Registration and bib pick-up open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Kinhut beside the Petawawa Civic Centre Mini Putt. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls in the 3.2 km, along with the top three male and female finishers in the 5.4 km and 10 km races in both U50 and 50+ divisions. The medal ceremony takes place at noon at the Kinhut.
All 5 km and 10 km participants will receive a Dog House Brewery beer glass, and those 19+ will be offered a complimentary Dog House beverage post-race. Munchkin runners will enjoy a free Dog House soft drink. All races start and finish along the Algonquin Trail at Murphy Road and Petawawa Boulevard, across from Kelsey’s Restaurant.
