Lou and Lisa Hammill presented with the Mayor’s Award

This spring, Mayor Ron Gervais presented the Hammills with a Mayor’s Award to acknowledge their years of being involved in many projects to support local individuals and organizations while never asking for recognition; simply giving in numerous ways.

“Lou and Lisa, together you exemplify what it means to be leaders and volunteers,” Mayor Gervais said. “You exhibit all that is good of a citizen of our beautiful city. And for that, as mayor, I feel it’s important to recognize you. I want to thank you for all that you have done for our community, and that despite certain efforts, I, and others do see what you do to take care of all of us. For that, on behalf of the City of Pembroke, I am eternally grateful.”
