It’s only been two days since the “104 Hearts for the RCL” campaign was introduced and already the City of Pembroke and indeed the whole Valley is really coming together for the cause.
Pembroke Mayor Ron Gervais stopped by the myFM studios on Tuesday to personally donate to the cause and to offer his endorsement of the program:
Audio PlayerSome months ago the Legion announced that they were going to have a commemorative crosswalk installed at the corner of Mackay Street and Pembroke Street adjacent to the Cenotaph. My Broadcasting Corporation CEO Jon Pole (who owns myFM) reached out to Station Manager Melissa Siegel and said: “Let’s help make this happen”.
For only $104.90 you can receive a limited edition “104 Hearts” mug with some goodies inside from various friends of the campaign who are just as eager to partner up with the RCL as we are. The campaign runs throughout this week and will culminate in a BBQ at the Pembroke Legion on Friday July 25th where lots of eats and music and celebrating will take place to wrap up the campaign.
Please click the link below if you are interested in becoming involved in the campaign. You can donate any amount you like to help support this very worthwhile cause in support of our dear friends at The Royal Canadian Legion. See you there!
