Dr. Christy Natsis, a respected dentist and longtime Renfrew County resident, has been named Chair of the Together, We Care Campaign, a historic fundraising effort in support of Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH).
The announcement was made on May 15 at the second annual CEO Breakfast held at the Best Western Pembroke.
The Together, We Care Campaign, set to launch in 2026, will raise funds for new medical technology and equipment at PRH. The campaign will help bring faster and better care to people living in Pembroke and nearby communities.
PRH President and CEO Sabine Mersmann said the hospital must invest in modern tools to meet the needs of a growing and aging population and to attract top medical talent. This includes a new CT scanner, an integrated health information system (Epic/MyChart), and state-of-the-art technology across various programs.
At the breakfast, PRH Foundation Chair Lisa Edmonds praised Dr. Natsis for her dedication to health care and the community. “She brings over 30 years of experience and passion to this role. We are thrilled to have her leading the campaign,” Edmonds said.
Dr. Natsis moved to Pembroke in 1992 and has operated a successful dental practice while also serving patients at PRH. She has volunteered with the PRH Foundation since 2004 and is currently the Chair of the Black and White Gala.
As Campaign Chair, Dr. Natsis will lead a team of volunteers to connect with residents, local businesses, and partners. “This campaign is about coming together to build a stronger hospital for everyone,” she said.
The Together, We Care Campaign will help PRH keep up with medical advances, improve patient safety, and ensure care is available close to home. Community members can expect more updates as the campaign moves forward.
