The County of Renfrew is celebrating the completion and opening of the section of the Algonquin Trail through Garrison Petawawa with a ribbon cutting
ceremony.
The completion of this section of Algonquin Trail adds almost 16 kilometres of open recreational trail and provides connection to Deep River. The project was a
significant undertaking, completed in partnership with many stakeholders. Though the section was officially completed in December 2024, we were not able to accommodate a celebration of its opening due to weather conditions.
The official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Friday, May 9th at Garrison Petawawa at 10AM at the Algonquin Trail, north of the Paquette Road crossing.
