The Pembroke Community Choir held their latest performance this past Sunday night entitled “Sing” which played to a packed house at the Calvin United Church in Pembroke.
Gerald LaRonde, Choral Director tells myFM that the choir has been together in one form or another for 67 years and features anywhere between 60 and 75 local voices making it one of the principal choirs in the Ottawa Valley. Although they only hold two major yearly performances, they are always ready to appear in various venues around the region:
Sunday’s performance was a bit of a mixed bag and had something for everyone, says LaRonde including a piece harkening back to the wartime era:
