Deep River and District Health (DRDH) is improving access to its Diagnostic Imaging Department by extending operating hours and introducing walk-in services. Starting April 3, the department will be open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. These changes aim to accommodate more patients at times that suit their schedules.
In addition to longer hours, DRDH is now offering walk-in services for X-rays and ECGs. Patients with a valid requisition can visit the Diagnostic Imaging Department during these hours and receive services on a first-come, first-served basis. This update eliminates the need for scheduled appointments, providing greater flexibility for the community.
Patients are reminded to bring their requisition forms from their healthcare providers to ensure timely service. If requisitions are sent electronically, there may be a short delay before they are received by the Diagnostic Imaging Department. These enhancements reflect DRDH’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the community while delivering excellent, compassionate care.
