On March 9, the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment charged a driver with impaired operation following a traffic complaint in the Town of Petawawa.
Just after 1:00 p.m., OPP responded to a report about a driver operating a vehicle erratically. The vehicle was located soon after, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing.
A 36-year-old resident of Petawawa, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and possession of a Schedule I substance. As a result of the charges, they had their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
The OPP continues to urge the public to report any suspicious or impaired driving, emphasizing the importance of keeping roads safe for all drivers.
