Charges laid by OPP on OFSC trails Feb. 22 included for improper (and annoying) exhaust. (OPP photo)
According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), local snowmobile trails are in great shape, however, far too many people are not complying with the basics.
The OPP’s SAVE (Snowmobile, ATV and Vessel Enforcement) team patrolled Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club (OFSC) trails in Renfrew and Lanark on Saturday, Feb. 22, laying 19 charges and issuing more than 40 warnings.
Infractions included no helmets, consuming alcohol, improper (and annoying) exhaust and trail pass charges.
“Please remember to respect yourself: wear a helmet! Respect others: don’t consume alcohol, don’t drive with a can, and support the trails, buy a trail pass!” reads an OPP social media post.
