Myrtle Alma Gust (nee Zoschke) passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on October 7, 2024 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Gust and dearly loved mother Sandra Gust Docken (Peter), Judy Tomlinson (Elvin), Wilma Gust (Ian), Janice Gust (Chris), and Donna Duffin (Shaun). Much-loved “Grandma Myrt” to Sara (Trevor), Eban (Aviva), Levi (Amanda), Joshua (Amber), Caitlin (Shane), Caleigh (Daniel), Brennan (Maryam), Aiden (Madi), Colin (Liv), Justine (Nick), Brielle (Greg), Catherine (Jake), Madelyn (Anthony), and thirteen precious great-grandchildren.
Sister of Frieda Biesenthal (late Vic) and sister-in-law of Idella Zoschke (late Gordon). Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Daughter of the late Reinhold and Hilda Zoschke (nee Kielman). Predeceased by siblings: Arthur, Lorne, Gordon, Esther, Alfred, Elise, Verner and Andy.
A funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, in Eganville on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Eganville, Zion Lutheran Church in Pembroke or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Malcom Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery in Eganville. After the interment, a celebration of Thanksgiving for Myrtle’s life will be held at the Echo Lodge, 30 Bell Street in Eganville.
