To help more animals find loving homes, the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is hosting a special adoption event, offering reduced fees at its animal centers across the province.
From Friday, May 31 to Saturday, June 1, adoption fees will be discounted by 20 percent at all 12 Ontario SPCA animal center locations. This initiative is an ideal opportunity for those considering adding a furry friend to their family.
“We are reaching capacity at our animal centers as more animals are coming into our care, and they are staying with us longer before they get adopted,” said Carol Boudreau, Interim Centre Manager at the Ontario SPCA Renfrew County Animal Centre. “Our goal with this adoption event is to find loving homes for as many animals as possible so that we have the capacity to take in more animals who need our help.”
Animals adopted from the Ontario SPCA are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and come with food from Royal Canin to ensure a smooth transition into their new homes. Potential adopters can view available animals at ontariospca.ca/adopt.
For those unable to adopt, the Ontario SPCA encourages donations to help provide care and shelter to animals in need. Donations can be made at ontariospca.ca/donate.
