While schools adjusted their P.A Day schedules to accommodate the solar eclipse this afternoon, some area daycare centres are still open. Wise Owl Daycare Centre in Pembroke says they will have appropriate safety measures in place. The centre administration notes that during the eclipse staff and children will remain inside and close all blinds, where available, to reduce any risk and prioritize safety. Older children may be able to observe the eclipse on available technology. The eclipse is expected to begin around 2:10 pm, at it’s maximum phase at 3:23 pm and finishing around 4:33 pm.
