The annual Pembroke city council remuneration list from 2023 has been released. Members of Pembroke city council received $243,577, payments were up slightly from 2022 a difference of $2,890. Mayor Ron Gervais was the top earner for a total of $52,635.06 which includes $47,157 in a Mayor’s honorarium.$750 for council committee vice chair honorarium, $2,500 for serving on the Pembroke Police Service Board, and $147.56 for conferences and meetings.
Councillor Andrew Plummer -$36,574.84, which includes $23,022.24 for a councillor’s honorarium, a $1,700 administration allowance, a $1,500 committee chair allowance, $1,800 for being on the Ottawa Valley Waste Management Board, $8,377.60 for being on the Ottawa River Power Corp. board, and $175 for being on the Pembroke and Area Airport Commission.
Coun. Ed Jacyno – $34,491.51, which includes $23,022.24 for a councillor’s honorarium, a $1,700 administration allowance, a $1,500 committee chair allowance, a $750 committee vice chair allowance, $6,144.80 for being on the Ottawa River Power Corp. Board, $210 for being on the Renfrew County Community Services committee, $562.40 for being on the Planning Advisory and Adjustment committee, and $602.07 for conferences and meetings.
Deputy Mayor Brian Abdallah – $34,392.57, which includes $26,005.82 for a deputy mayor’s honorarium, a $2,200 administration allowance, a $1,500 committee chair allowance, $1,050 for being on the Ottawa River Energy Solutions board, $400 for being on the Pembroke Public Library board, and $3,236.75 for conferences and meetings.
Coun. Pat Lafreniere – $30,532.93, which includes $23,022.24 for a councillor’s honorarium, a $1,700 administration allowance, a $1,500 committee chair allowance, $2,000 for being on the Pembroke Police Service Board, $245 for being on the Renfrew County Health Committee, and $2,065.69.
Coun. Troy Purcell – $28,704.94, which includes $23,022.24 for a councillor’s honorarium, a $1,700 administration allowance, a $750 council committee vice chair honorarium, a $280 Community Services Committee per diem, $500 for being on the Pembroke Public Library board, and $2,452.70 for being on the Renfrew County and District Health Unit board.
Coun. Ian Kuehl – $26,245.54, which includes $23,022.24 for a councillor’s honorarium, a $1,700 administration allowance, a $750 council committee vice chair honorarium, and $773.30 for being on the Planning Advisory and Adjustment Committee.
