A Petawawa resident is in legal trouble following an investigation by the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment OPP into a disturbing incident.
Launched on February 12, 2024, the investigation was prompted by the discovery of a recording device in a private Petawawa residence. Executing a search warrant on February 14, 2024, the UOV OPP Crime Unit seized electronic devices, including video recording equipment.
As a result, a 31-year-old Petawawa resident now faces charges of voyeurism and mischief related to interfering with property use. The accused, whose identity is withheld to protect the victim, has been released after a bail hearing and is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
The OPP urges anyone with additional information to contact the UOV OPP Detachment, emphasizing their commitment to community safety.
