The City of Pembroke is warning about the dangers of thin ice, particularly around the Pollution Control Centre. City staff say that the ice surface on the Ottawa River in this location may be open in areas and may be thin and fragile due to the water current. Everyone is encouraged to stay away from the waters edge.
