‘The 48’: Don’t miss events in Pembroke and area

Here is a quick snapshot of what’s happening around town in the next 48 hours.

Today is a Day at the Lodge at the 4 season lodge on Henan Road. It runs from 10:30 until 3:30 and will feature music and stories from Gillan Rutz and a jigsaw puzzle competition.

It’s Do-Re-Me Music Day at the Petawawa Public Library from 10:30 until until 11:15.  Library Program Room – Join in a sensory-rich yet caring and gentle environment where infants can explore and react to new sounds, sensations, and objects. Shared activities for babies and their caregivers provide the opportunity to strengthen your connection with your child through joyful music-making.  Registration is preferred; Drop-ins are welcome while space is available.

The casual choir at the Pembroke Public Library will meet tonight from 6:15pm to 7:15.  A group for those who like singing with no pressure of auditions or sheet music! You can join us even if you think you’re tone-deaf.  Call 613-732-8844 to register!

U15 House League – Eganvile visits Arnprior at 5pm

U11 House League – Barry’s Bay heads to Beachburg to meet Muskrat at 6pm. Both Petawawa teams meet at the Civic Centre beginning at 6:30

Competitive U13 – Renfrew welcomes Muskrat to the myFM Centre at 6:30

The Lumber Kings are back at it tonight when they welcome the Rockland Nationals to the PMC. Game time is 7:30.
