Meals on Wheels is expanding in Whitewater Region Township beginning Feb. 6. Officials at Whitewater Seniors say hot meals will be created by Dante’s Delicatessen in Cobden and delivered by volunteer drivers every Tuesday. Meals cost $7 each and include a main course, soup or salad and a small dessert. To qualify for the service, clients must be over the age of 65 or disabled or recently discharged from hospital. Also, volunteers are needed to help deliver the meals. This program is funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Age Well at Home Initiative, in partnership with Eganville and District Seniors.
