Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant has few fond memories of 2023 at her jobsite.
She says misguided strategies by an out-of-touch government are raising costs on individuals and families at an unsustainable rate.
Gallant notes that in some areas of the riding there are now twice as many people relying on food banks as compared with averages from previous years.
The MP says the federal carbon tax will get you coming and going- even though fuel is exempt from tax when used on the farm.
In Gallant’s opinion, other wrong-headed policies include mandating electric vehicles without a plan to extend the power grid to sustain demand, and the approval of the federal gun confiscation bill.
