There are lots of animals in local shelters that would love to find their forever home this Christmas.
Heather Jobe, Community Development Coordinator at the Ontario SPCA stated that people really need to be 100 % committed to getting an animal before they take the plunge.
At SPCA, they make sure they match the animal and its behavior and personality appropriately to the adopter’s lifestyle. This helps with making sure these animals get forever homes. According to the SPCA, they have seen many animals needing new homes come the new year.
Jobe tells myFM how important it is for people thinking about getting a pet, to adopt instead.
The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society have a successful adoption program, they are committed to finding homes for all their animals.
