Take Back the Night: a crew that’s few but mighty in the name of reclaiming women’s safety once the suns gone down. This year’s theme was Honoring the Past and Looking Forward to the Future.
The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County got together at the Petawawa Library in their back garden courtyard where Lindsay from the Womens Sexual Assault Centre announced that this year is something of a milestone:
The walk back to the library was done in silence, as a way to pay tribute to those who can no longer speak up about gender-based violence.
Rebecca Hope, a music artist from Pembroke, performed in the library’s garden once the walk concluded and snacks were enjoyed by all.
