Killaloe OPP are continuing to investigate a second suspected drowning death from last week. Just before 5pm on Wednesday, emergency crews were called out Wadsworth Lake on Hopefield Road in Madawaska Valley. One person was found unresponsive in shallow water. CPR lifesaving measures were performed on the individual by community members, police and paramedics at the scene prior to transport to the hospital. A 40-year-old from Nigeria later died in hospital. Police are looking into the details surrounding the death, however it’s been ruled as non-suspicious.
