How far would you go, either for yourself or someone you love, to seek treatment for life-threatening illnesses? For Recovery Road, a Renfrew County charity initiative, the answer is “how much is gas?”
Ron Watson, the founder of Recovery Road and a cancer survivor himself, spoke to myFM on how this initiative is managing to keep themselves afloat.
It’s hard on families who aren’t as financially sound, some taking the money from dwindling savings.
Watson expressed how he feels his initiative could definitely be seen by more people, either who need it, or who are willing to donate.
