Get ready to jam this June as the annual Strawberry festival returns, Sunday, June 25th from 11am to 3pm across from the Pembroke Mall!
mfFM spoke with Julia Klimack from the Upper Ottawa Heritage Centre about some highlights from the upcoming event:
The museum and all its outbuildings are full to bursting with heritage demonstrations like weaving, tatting, and blacksmithing. Plenty more entertainment and vendors to take in at the garden: Local musicians and the Pembroke Antique Car Club will be showing off at the gardens just for you.
Cake and ice cream with locally grown strawberries from McGregor’s Produce will be stealing the show while you enjoy a great day with plenty of entertainment for the whole family!
Admission is $14 per adult, $7 for children, and kids under 5 get in free. There are special rates for Ottawa Valley Historical Society members and for families, which can be purchased in advance at the museum office. Buy tickets on the day of the event. They accept cash, debit, and credit. They also accept email money transfers to admin@champlaintrailmuseum.com.
The Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre is the largest Museum in Renfrew County with more than 10,000 artifacts among its collection. Located in Pembroke, the Museum is owned and operated by the Ottawa Valley Historical Society and is funded by the municipalities of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley.
