Here we feature Derek Burger, an employee at Walmart in Pembroke.
Derek has worked at Walmart for the last 11-years and grew up in the Pembroke area.
He loves interacting with the customers and says he has some awesome co-workers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Walmart remained open, but with capacity limits in place, Burger says it was much more quiet.
In addition to offering customers the ability to order ahead and pick-up items at the store, Burger says there’s also been a lot of restructuring inside over the last 11-years.
Burger says it’s important to listen, know your job and always be nice to the customers.
