The Women’s Sexual Assault Centre of Renfrew County is holing two Take Back the Walk nights this year.
Communications Coordinator Erika Mullins says one will be held in Barry’s Bay on Thursday, September 22nd at 7:30pm at Water Tower Park
Another Take Back the Night event will be held on the 28th of September in Pembroke starting at 6:30pm at the Women’s Sexual Assault Centre.
Mullins says it’s the first time they’ve hosted a Take Back the Night event in Renfrew County s since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pace of the march will be slow to ensure everyone can participate, there will also be a vehicle behind the walk in case anyone needs a break.
Men are invited to walk behind the women.
Mullins says they will be unveiling a mosaic in Barry’s Bay as a response to the inquest into the deaths of Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk and Nathalie Warmerdam.
Everyone is welcome to attend the upcoming events.
