The Canadian Armed Forces will be training near Black Bear Beach in Petawawa.
It’s part of exercise ROYAL TRIDENT which will take place on Wednesday, August 17th from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Garrison Petawawa says the exercise will include helocasting, a technique that will see troops jumping from a helicopter into the water and parachute jumps into the river.
Marine units will also be patrolling the Lamure Bay waters.
Boaters are asked to respect all safety precautions.
The Canadian Armed Forces says exercise ROYAL TRIDENT will be an incredible display of 3 RCR’s parachuting capabilities, and they hope people in the area enjoy the show.
If there is bad weather, the training exercise will be moved to August 18th.
