The 4th edition of battle of the bass is in support of the Friends and Neighbours Club at the Pheonix Centre.
President Elect for the Greater Petawawa Citivan Club, Brian Miner, tells myFM boats launch from the Pembroke Marina at 7:00am on Saturday, August 13th, with the weigh-in at 4:00pm.
The cost is $110 for the entry fee and $20 to enter the big fish contest. The top team with the most overall weight from seven fish caught will take home $1,000 with second place winning $500.
Entry forms are available at Al’s Bait and Tackle, the Phoenix Centre or by following the Petawawa Citivan Club on Facebook. Miner says in the last four years, the biggest bass reeled in during the competition was about 11 pounds.
