Three hospitals in eastern Ontario are implementing the Epic health information system.
The Deep River & District Hospital, Kemptville District Hospital and Winchester District Memorial Hospital will be going live with the Epic health information system on November 5th, 2022.
With Epic’s private MyChart portal, patients can see their medical history, diagnostic test results, upcoming appointments, lists of allergies and medications, and even educational materials.
When a patient is transferred between hospitals who use Epic, critical information will be available immediately to their new healthcare team and the patient will not have to repeat their medical history over and over.
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital and St. Francis Memorial in Barry’s Bay rolled out the Epic health information system in the fall of 2019.
