In less then two weeks, the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) Foundation’s Catch the Ace drive-thru location on Pembroke Street East has been broken into twice.
This has forced staff to permanently close the site.
Roger Martin, the Executive Director of the hospital foundation, says the break-in occurred sometime between July 5th and July 8th.
A small amount of cash, a debit machine, printer and tablet were stolen for the second time.
There was also damage reported to the drive-thru site.
Martin says these two break-ins have resulted in over $5,000 in damages.
Catch the Ace tickets are still available online or at other locations including Holiday Inn Express, Cork Culture, Beyond Nutrition (Petawawa), The Shoe Lounge and Bumpy Roads Studio.
Money raised from Catch the Ace goes to support the Pembroke Regional Hospital Cancer Care Campaign.
The estimated jackpot this week if the ace of spades is caught is over $25,000.
