Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member of Parliament Cheryl Gallant is linking the current inquest into the deaths of Carol Culleton, Natalie Warmerdam and Anastasia Kuzyk and Federal Bill C-5 intended to reduce mandatory minimum sentences.
The MP addressed the mater last Thursday (June 9th) during question period in the House of Commons.
Gallant notes the Renfrew County families affected, as well as the wider community are being re-traumatized by the Inquest proceedings.
The Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Member notes Borutski was a probation violator at the time of the triple murders, and believes the proposed Bill C-5 would just worsen the chance of potential future occurrences.
