A late-night trip to Portage-du-Fort will require a slight detour for several dates over the summer months.
Bridge work near Limerick Island will close off a route into the village on the Quebec side of the provincial boarder on certain nights from June to September.
Ontario Power Generation will be upgrading the bridge near Chenaux Generating Station from 8:00pm to 5:00am on the following nights:
- June 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29 & 30
- July 19 & 21
- September 5, 6, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26 & 27
OPG says that there will still be ways to get to Portage-du-Fort, including Highway 148 in Pembroke and the Quyon Ferry.
