Two hour free parking in downtown Pembroke is about to expire. According to the Manager of Planning and Development Colleen Sauriol, city council has made their decision.
Sauriol also tells myFM that times to a pair of parking lots are also set to to change.
It was council’s decision to do away with the program and revert back to the meter system due to the loss of revenue.
The cost at the parking meters will go back to their regular costs. A half hour will cost you 25 cents. Payment at the meters is also available by the Honkmobile App. Simply download the app on your phone and input the zone information on the meter.
