Deep River’s mayor and reeve won’t be changing for the next term, but some new councillors will be joining them.
According to the unofficial results from last night’s municipal election, Deep River’s current mayor, Suzanne D’Eon, and current reeve, Glen Doncaster, were both acclaimed after running for re-election unopposed.
The three incumbent candidates for council in the town – William Fitton, Christina Giardini and Tom Vaughan – were also re-elected and will join Doncaster and D’Eon for another term, alongside newcomers Benjamin Meyers and Jay Crawford.
Of those five, Fitton received the most votes, followed by Giardini and Vaughan.
