Hospice Renfrew hopes to get a conversation going about grief and bereavement in the community.
Organizers of next month’s Shine A Light grief support evening hope they can entice people who may be hesitant or nervous about joining a support group to come out and connect with others in a low pressure environment.
Grief and Bereavement Counsellor Jenny Rigby-McCabe says the evening’s main speaker has some great insight.
Heath’s message will offer some practical advice for how to support someone who is grieving.
Participants will also be invited to tour the ice lantern pathway and art installation in the gardens and light a candle in honour of someone they’re grieving.
However, it’s important to note that you don’t have to have lost someone who was at Hospice Renfrew to take part. This is for people all over Renfrew County.
Shine A Light is set for Wednesday, November 18th at Hospice Renfrew. It’s free to attend but they do ask that you RSVP with them on their website at http://hospicerenfrew.ca.
You can also register by calling Jenny Rigby-McCabe at 613-433-3993 ext 2237.
