Two local organizations have come up big for the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
A $10,000 gift from the Ottawa Valley Community Foundation to the Together We Care Campaign will be used towards the cost of the hospital’s newly installed CT scanner.
The PRH Foundation says “the donation reflects OVCF’s commitment to strengthening communities across the Ottawa Valley and supporting initiatives that improve quality of life for local residents. In selecting the CT scanner project, the Board recognized the importance of ensuring patients have access to modern diagnostic equipment close to home.”
In another generous act, the Eganville Rotary Club has donated $5,000 towards the campaign to fund priority equipment needs.
“The Eganville Rotary Club has a proud tradition of supporting initiatives that strengthen our community,” said Roger Martin, Executive Director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. “From past health care projects to today’s Together, We Care Campaign, their commitment continues to make an impact on patients and families throughout the Upper Ottawa Valley.”
Foundation officials say donations like these help ensure residents can access the best possible care, close to home.
