Fire has destroyed a home in the Wilno area. Madawaska Valley Fire Chief Corwin Quade says they were called to Wilno Road South around 1:20 Monday afternoon to find a home and garage fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Township were called in to assist with their pumper truck.
He says the fire had spread into a neighbour’s field.
Quade says the homeowner was at work when the blaze began.
An investigation is underway but the fire is not considered suspicious.
